Analog Constant Pressure Setup
- "SETUP CONST PRES" - Press the ENTER key to proceed.
- "psi SETPOINT" - This value determines the pressure you want to maintain. The factory default is 50 psi. Use the arrow keys to change if desired. Press ENTER to proceed.
- "SUBMERSIBLE PUMP" - This parameter sets the ramp profile for a submersible pump. "YES" = ramps to 30HZ in the first second to prevent excessive wear on the thrust bearing. "NO" = The frequency will increase in a linear fashion from zero to max frequency. Use the arrow keys to toggle between the two settings. Press ENTER to proceed.
- "Disable Manual Mode" – The "Yes" value allows you to disable the MANUAL button run mode. "No" allows you to run the VFD manually on/off at max frequency.
- "OVERCURRENT LIMIT" – Setting for motor overload protection (service factor amp rating for the motor) using the arrows to toggle. Press ENTER to proceed.
- Press the RUN/AUTO button to start the pump. Note: Set pressure tank psi to 70% of VFD psi Setpoint.
Additional Parameters to consider: Change Parameter Values >
Operating Parameters >>
- UNDERCURRENT: Unit shuts down when output current goes below the set value at 60hz. Commonly known as Dry Well.
- PWM OVER MODULATION: Output voltage may be lower than the input voltage because of losses from a filter or input reactor. Use this parameter to boost output voltage on SD systems if necessary. LH systems use the Output Voltage parameter.
Interface Parameters >>
- SYSTEM CONFIG: Determines the operating mode of the drive. Constant Pressure, Simple on/off, etc.
- AUX1 & 2 SELECT: Both need an “ON” state for the drive to run. Use this parameter to set the preferred functionality.
Constant Pressure Parameters >>
- SLEEP or SHUTOFF FREQUENCY: This parameter value is added to the frequency set by MIN FREQUENCY. This value is the frequency at which drive will enter sleep mode, after a 6 second delay, when pressure is controlled at the setpoint.
- WAKE PSI: This is the pressure where the drive wakes back up and starts pumping again.
- INTEGRAL GAIN: This sets how fast the drive reacts. 12 is default. You can go as high as 50 and low as 8. Anything beyond that can make the system unstable.
Any of these settings can be modified if needed after the initial setup completes. For a full listing of available parameters, please refer to the product manual.
